IP Satellite Systems (IPSS) provides standard professional installation of satellite equipment at any location in the U.S.
Fixed VSAT broadband satellite antennas receive data from and broadcast data to geostationary satellites 23,600 miles away, and require a very precise aim. These VSAT antenna systems can not be self-installed like a satrellite TV dish, they must be installed and pointed only by trained and certified professional satellite technicians. NOTE: According to Federal Communications Commission (FCC), only trained professionals may install two-way satellite systems.
How The Installation Process Works:
The first step after an order is received is a brief telephone conversation with an IPSS Installation Coordinator. You can expect the IPSS Installation Coordinator to contact you within two days of our receipt of your order, and he will become your single point of contact for the installation of your satellite system and commissioning of your new service.
On the initial phone call, the IPSS Installation Coordinator will verify all of the details of the installation, and confirm a convenient date and time for your installation. The IPSS Installation Coordinator will arrange the shipping of all equipment to the installation site, as well as the scheduling and dispatch of the trained installation technician.
The IPSS Installation Coordinator will discuss with you the location and placement of the antenna, the path that the cables will take to enter the building, and the location of the indoor equipment.
When the installation technician arrives and before he begins the installation, he will verify the location and placement of the antenna, the path that the cables will take to enter the building, and the location of the indoor equipment. It is important that the customer or a designated customer representative be present at this time.
The installation technician may be a direct employee of IP Satellite Systems, or may be a third party with whom IPSS contracts to provide professional satellite installations in a particular area. All installers are trained professionals and all carry a minimum $1,000,000 of liability insurance.
After the installation of the satellite hardware is complete, the technician will make sure that the systems is working and will demonstrate this to you by surfing the web using a single computer. The Installation technician will not set up any Customer computers or make any customer provided router or other LAN equipment function. This type of work is available, but is not included in a Standard Professional Installation.
